Solar transit of Venus

According to Spaceweather.com, Venus will transit (pass in front of) the Sun approximately 5:30pm ET today and will take about 7 hours. It looks like an overcast day, so I have requested images from the robotic telescopes over at NASA via the Harvard-Smithsonian telescope network. I will post the images in a couple of days when I recive them. If there is a break in the clouds, I will try to get some images with my DSLR.

This event will not be visible again from Earth until Dec. 2117.
