Nova 2013


Nova Dephinus 2013 was discovered Wednesday (Aug. 14) by amateur astronomer Koichi Itagaki of Yamagata, Japan, at 2 p.m. EDT (1800 GMT) in the constellation Delphinus. According to our view, it resides near M27: the Dumbell Nebula. Magnitude at the time of this writing is around +6. Read an article on this find from Space.com here.
